The College of Law organizes a seminar on Contemporary Trends in Corporate Governance

The College of Law at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) organized a seminar entitled ‘Contemporary Trends in Corporate Governance’ on Monday 30th October, 2017 in the IT Building at UAEU. Professor Mohammed Hassan, Dean of the College of Law and a number of academic and law experts were in attendance.

The seminar is part of the college’s efforts to prepare law graduates with the skills required by the current labor market in the field of Law. It also contributes to UAEU’s mission, which is provide opportunities for students to enhance their knowledge by establishing effective partnerships with relevant organizations.

The two-session seminar discussed topics that included governance provisions in  Companies Law; the role of inspecting bodies in enhancing corporate governance; transparency, the principles of corporate governance and the challenges of implementing such principles.

At the end of the seminar Professor Hassan thanked the participants and students had the opportunity to discuss the topics with the presenters.
