UAEU Food and Agriculture College donates 60 sheep and goats to the Emirates Red Crescent

On the occasion of Eid Al-Adha and as part of the initiatives of the Year of Giving 

On the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, and in response to the UAE leadership’s direction to promote humanitarian initiatives to serve the community during the Year of Giving, and in support of the cooperation with strategic partners, the UAEU Food and Agriculture College donated 60 sheep and goats from the College Farm in Al-Foah to the Emirates Red Crescent  in Al Ain. The initiative was announced on Tuesday morning, August 29, at the Crescent Building, in the presence of H.E. Prof. Mohammed Albaili, UAEU Vice Chancellor, Mr. Ahmed Al Halami, Director of the Voluntary Office of the Emirates Red Crescent, Al Ain, Prof. Bhanu Chowdhary, Dean of the College of Food and Agriculture, and Dr. Aisha Al Dhaheri, Vice Dean.

"This initiative comes in line with the UAEU initiatives to serve the community as part of the Year of Giving and in response to the direction of our leadership to enhance the voluntary work. We strive to preserve these noble human values ​ for the good of the UAE community. It is a sincere humanitarian initiative to bring joy to those in need on the occasion of Eid al-Adha and the Year of Giving,” said Prof. Albaili.

Mr. Al-Halami praised the continuous strategic cooperation between UAEU and the Emirates Red Crescent. He also expressed his appreciation to the UAEU administration and students, asserting that the organization greatly welcomes the UAEU’s social and humanitarian initiatives. UAEU, one of the main government sponsor of the Emirates Red Crescent, has made tremendous effort to promote voluntary works through organizing activities and events both locally and internationally.
