Sheikh Saeed bin Tahnoun Al Nayhan attended on Sunday 15^th April 2018 the activities of the 3^rd Law Day, organized by the College of Law (COL) at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). The event held in the Crescent Building at UAEU was attended by Professor Mohamed Albaili, UAEU Vice Chancellor, and Professor Mohamed Hassan, Dean of COL.

Sheikh Saeed bin Tahnoun Al Nayhan commended the efforts of the COL at UAEU in preparing a law-qualified cadre specialized in private, public and criminal law in order to serve the UAE society and its government institutions.

The event incorporated a number of activities including Legal, Security and Police Services Exhibition of the participating entities, folklore art shows and a military music show. A number of institutions participated in the event including Kelna UAE Association, Emirates Photographers and the National Archive of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, who showcased the Year of Zayed Exhibition and performed Operetta ‘Izz Al Watan’ [the Pride of the Nation]. Dubai Customs also performed a play titled “We can’t be fooled”, and Al Ain Theatre displayed a play titled “Bu Abdulla Home”, warning people not to fall into illegal issues.

The Law Day ended with a discussion panel to discuss ways of preventing checks without balance. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Mohammed Al Hammadi, Criminal Law Department, UAEU, and a number of UAE law specialists and experts participated in it including Professor Ali Mohammed Hamouda, Dubai Police Academy, Mr. Hussain Maatook Mubarak, Advisor and General Defender, Public Funds Prosecution of the Ministry of Justice, Dr. Fahad Al Sabhan, Legal Expert, Salah Al Dein Fuaad, RAK Prosecution and Professor Abu Alwafaa Mohammed, UAEU.
