The Organizing Committee of AWS Regional International Conference has chosen the citizen student, Noor Youssef Al Nuaimi, from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the United Arab Emirates University, in the organizing committee of this global scientific conference. She is leading this conference, which is organized by the Association of Women Surgeons - the branch of the United Arab Emirates University in cooperation with the branch of the American University Beirut in mid-December, titled " Navigating Through a Multifactorial Crisis: Reflecting on Surgical Training in 2020".

Noor Youssef Al-Nuaimi said: This conference will devote scientific discussion platforms through which surgeons and resident physicians inside and outside the country, and a number of students and doctors trained in Asia and Australia will participate. Our goal is to reach the largest possible number of the audience. This year, the conference will discuss the difficulties that women face in the specialty of surgery, how to overcome them, possible ways to support and enhance the role of women in this field, and how the surgical field has been affected by the Corona-Covid-19 pandemic, while shedding light on the unfortunate incident of Beirut Port that happened this year.

" Nour Youssef Al-Nuaimi, who is studying in the third year at the College of Medicine at the United Arab Emirates University, has established the "UAEU Group of the Association of Women Surgeons". It is under the supervision of the Dean of Medical Education at the University - Dr. Saida Al Marzouki, and Dr. Nora Mahfouz Al Shehhi - Regional Representative of the Association of Women Surgeons. "The group aims to create a platform to empower students who aspire to major in surgery. It will also strengthen relationships with surgeons inside and outside the UAE to benefit from their experiences.
