Four undergraduate Emirati students (Sara Alzahmi, Bashayer Alyammahi, Maitha Alyammahi, and Mariam Alshamsi) from the college of IT, under the supervision of Dr. Abdelkader Nasreddine Belkacem, won the 2nd place (10,000 dirhams as a prize) at the Dubai Metavator Challenge, #Metacon2022, within the students' category for their project "Decoding and modulating user’s emotions using EEG and neuro feedback". This competition is the 1st of its kind platform & pitch competition for innovators in Metaverse, NFT, Web 3, Gaming & Crytpo Tech.
