The Research Cooperation Forum between the United Arab Emirates University and the Malaysian University of Malaya Evaluates the Results of Joint Research

The Research Cooperation Forum between the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) and the Malaysian University of Malaya discussed the results of joint research between the two parties, in the presence of several faculty members, researchers and a number of postgraduate students from both universities.
Professor Dr. Ahmed Murad - Associate Vice President for Scientific Research at UAEU explained: “The vision of UAEU - the University of the Future, to develop strategic cooperation through joint scientific research with the University of Malaya, comes as a priority within the framework of enhancing scientific and research outputs and scientific and academic cooperation between experts, specialists and researchers as well as faculty members and graduate students, in a way that contributes to enhancing the international reputation and quality of scientific production of UAEU and the University of Malaya. We seek to support joint research cooperation from the standpoint of enhancing and developing the scientific and international reputation in the field of scientific research, which reflects positively on the quality of research and has a tangible impact to the scientific community by providing scientific solutions to various societal challenges, in line with the university’s vision of building international research relations with high-level universities and developing future plans that contribute to enhancing research outputs in quantity and quality.”
He added: "We emphasize that this cooperation comes in accordance with the strategic plan drawn up and shared within this framework to develop innovation in the university's scientific research for the year 2023-2026, and in cooperation with researchers at the University of Malaya and UAEU within the Asian University Alliance programme, which is considered one of the elementary programs that UAEU established five years ago, and the progress of this program is now being evaluated, which enhances our interaction with distinguished scholars and researchers.”
Professor Dr. Mohsen Sharif - Director of the Office of Research and Funded Projects, reviewed the distinguished capabilities of UAEU and its research centres, specializations and activities, and the most prominent research and scientific achievements. He provided the participating delegation from the University of Malaya with a full explanation about patents at the university, and facts about research productivity and quality at both the local and international levels. The participants, including faculty members and researchers, also discussed during the forum many joint research topics and their results as a number of research was presented in the following fields: medicine and health sciences, technology and renewable energies, water and desalination sectors, energy, engineering and biosciences, advanced technology and biology, with the aim of reaching the results of innovative and distinguished research projects at an international level
