Under the “Impact Partners” Theme UAEU Recognizes the Year of Community Partners

The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) held a special ceremony to mark the Year of Community Partners 2025 under the theme “Impact Partners.” The event recognized the vital role of institutions and entities that contributed to supporting social initiatives throughout the year, while empowering the University’s scientific, research, and developmental mission. The ceremony was held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, in Abu Dhabi.

In his opening remarks, H.E. Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University, expressed his deep appreciation to the University’s partners for their continued efforts in supporting UAEU’s role in community service. His Excellency stated:

“Our gathering today is a gesture of appreciation to all institutions, entities, and individuals who have contributed to strengthening a solid and cohesive community. They have been true partners in supporting the University’s scientific, research, and social mission.”

He further affirmed that recognizing these partners reflects the values of solidarity, cooperation, and giving, which embody the authentic Emirati spirit. He emphasized that community service is a shared responsibility, bringing together universities, government entities, the private sector, and individual initiatives to achieve comprehensive development and enhance quality of life.

The event featured a panel discussion titled “Institutional Integration: Towards a Balanced and Sustainable Social System,” with specialists and experts highlighting the role of institutional partnerships in building a sustainable framework that responds to community needs and supports national priorities in healthcare, education, the environment, quality of life, community innovation, and other key sectors.

Speakers also showcased leading examples of joint initiatives between UAEU and various institutions, emphasizing the University’s role in advancing impactful collaborative work that has reached diverse segments of society. They noted that the Year of Community Partners opened new horizons for expanding cooperation and maximizing social impact.

The ceremony concluded with the honoring of UAEU’s partners in the Year of Community, reaffirming the importance of continued collaboration to build a stronger and more connected society. This reflects the UAE’s wise leadership in promoting institutional integration, community engagement, and sustainable development across the nation.
