UAEU Unveils Cutting-Edge Innovations at BRIDGE Summit 2025 and Launches Innovation Bridge Challenge for Student Talent

The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) participated in the BRIDGE Summit 2025 through a dedicated platform showcasing its latest research projects and student innovations, reflecting the University’s leadership in advanced technologies, artificial intelligence, engineering solutions, and cybersecurity.

H.E. Prof. Ahmed Ali Al Raeesi, Vice Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University, affirmed that the University’s participation in this global event aligns with its vision of strengthening its role as a leading research and innovation hub. He noted that UAEU continues to support students and researchers in developing their projects and transforming their ideas into viable, real-world solutions.

“Our students’ participation at the UAEU platform during the BRIDGE Summit affirms their ability to produce innovative models that address future challenges,” he said. “It also reflects the University’s commitment to providing a creativity-centered environment that encourages students to transform their ideas into impactful products and projects.”

He added, “We believe that investing in young minds is a cornerstone of building a sustainable, knowledge-based economy. This belief underscores the importance of supporting students by providing them with global platforms where they can present their ideas before experts and investors.”

Innovative Projects Reflecting UAEU’s Research Strength

The University’s platform featured a selection of high-impact innovations, including “TruShield,” a project developed by students Amna Al Shamsi and Mahra Al Saqqaf. TruShield is designed to protect digital identity in an era where artificial intelligence can clone images, voices, and personal characteristics within seconds.

Another showcased innovation was the “Smart Customer Pulse Sound” platform an AI-based solution that screens social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube to detect relevant content, summarize insights, and convert them into actionable intelligence to support informed decision-making.

Students from the College of Engineering also presented the AI-Powered Drone Detection System, a smart solution designed to enhance airspace security by detecting drones using artificial intelligence to support air traffic monitoring and threat detection.

In addition, the ALAIN Imagery Project was showcased as an innovative engineering system based on advanced imaging technologies for processing and analyzing visual data. The project aims to support applications in monitoring, energy, and smart cities by improving data quality and analytical accuracy.

Launching the “Innovation Bridge” Challenge to Support Young Talent

As part of its participation in the summit, UAEU announced the launch of the Innovation Bridge Challenge, an initiative aimed at empowering talented students to develop their ideas and transform them into viable projects.

The challenge is open to students aged 18 to 25 from local and international universities and offers participants the opportunity to present their innovations before a panel of experts and investors in media, technology, and entrepreneurship. The initiative seeks to support winning projects in their development journey, enhance students’ entrepreneurial skills, and increase their opportunities to enter the startup ecosystem.

Strengthening UAEU’s Presence in International Forums

UAEU’s participation in the BRIDGE Summit reflects its ongoing efforts to strengthen its presence on the global innovation stage and provide its students with direct exposure to industry leaders and investors. The University’s platform attracted significant attention from summit visitors, who expressed strong interest in the projects presented due to their innovative approaches to addressing contemporary challenges.
