The College of Business & Economics at the United Arab Emirates University hosted its second alumni forum, attended by H.E. Mariam Hamad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions, along with Prof. Mohamed Madi, Dean of the College, faculty members, and over 300 alumni from various academic disciplines.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Mohamed Madi expressed his gratitude for reconnecting with graduates, emphasizing the College's ongoing commitment to organizing this forum. He highlighted its role in strengthening connections among alumni across generations and fostering cooperation with current students as part of a strategic vision to build sustainable professional and academic relationships.

Khameis Al Antali, CEO of GPS Chemoil and an alumnus of the College, remarked that UAEU would always be their “second home.” He noted that the university was not only a place of academic learning but also a foundation for national identity, shared aspirations, and lifelong bonds.

The forum featured a series of insightful panel discussions covering topics such as artificial intelligence, the importance of diversity and inclusion in the labor market, and the value of professional certifications in advancing careers. Other discussions focused on enhancing alumni engagement, the UAE’s role in achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, and net-zero emissions across global carbon markets. These discussions added a deep cognitive dimension, enriching the forum with thought-provoking insights and practical perspectives.

The event also included a recognition ceremony for this year’s Doctor of Business Administration graduates and a celebration of the second cohort of manufacturing experts from the Bank of China, who completed an international Executive Leadership workshop delivered by the College.
