H.E. Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to the UAE President and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University,

 affirmed that Commemoration Day is a national occasion that demonstrates to the world the true meaning of honor. It expresses the nation’s pride in its righteous martyrs the sons of the UAE whose sacrifices illuminate the pages of our history.

He stated that November 30, Commemoration Day, embodies the spirit of national cohesion and reinforces the values of loyalty and belonging among the nation’s people. The memory of the nation will forever celebrate the sacrifices of its loyal youth. His Excellency added: “On this national occasion, so close to our hearts, we offer a salute of reverence and respect to the pure souls of the nation’s martyrs, who will remain forever in the hearts, minds, and conscience of the UAE’s people.

They are our guiding lights, and the UAE will continue to stand proud, raising the banner of glory.” At UAEU, we stand today in appreciation of the martyrs’ families, who have offered the nation lofty examples of patience and faith. We reaffirm our deep commitment to advancing education and knowledge, given their essential role in strengthening citizenship, consolidating national identity, and preparing generations who understand their responsibilities toward the nation and who continue the path of construction and progress.

We ask Allah Almighty to have mercy on the nation’s martyrs, to grant them the highest place in spacious paradise, and to preserve the security, pride, and prosperity of the UAE under our wise leadership.
