UAEU Showcases Innovation and Expertise at TRENDS 5th Annual Conference on Sustainable Water Security

United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) participated prominently in TRENDS  5th Annual Conference on Sustainable Water Security, held at the Ritz Carlton Grand Canal, Abu Dhabi. 

The university’s contribution included a dedicated exhibition highlighting a selection of UAEU’s registered patents and pioneering research projects in the field of water sustainability and related innovations. The exhibition served as a platform to showcase the university’s commitment to advancing knowledge and solutions that address pressing environmental challenges. 

Adding to the university’s distinguished presence, H.E. Prof. Ahmed Ali Alraeesi, Vice Chancellor of UAEU, participated as a keynote panelist in “Shaping the Future of Water Security.” Prof. Ahmed shared insights on the critical role of research and innovation in ensuring sustainable water systems, underscoring the university’s position as a leading institution driving solutions for regional and global sustainability challenges. 

Prof. Ahmed Ali Alraeesi stated: “Our participation in this conference reflects UAEU’s unwavering commitment to addressing one of the world’s most pressing challenges — water security. By advancing research, innovation, and collaboration, we aim to contribute solutions that ensure a sustainable future for generations to come. We are also proud to showcase the research conducted by our undergraduate and graduate students, who are addressing critical aspects of water security through their innovative work.” 

As part of the conference’s recognition program, UAE University was honored as a key stakeholder and partner in advancing sustainable water solutions. This recognition reflects the university’s long-standing role in producing impactful research and nurturing collaborations that contribute to national and international water security goals.
