BUSA Alumni at New York University

Every year students from the College of Business and Economics at UAEU successfully compete for the prestigious Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Scholarship Program (SMSP). This is a life changing opportunity that accelerates their academic growth through participation in NYU programs taught by leading international figures such as Bob Shurm (Presidential campaign coordinator for Ted Kennedy, Al Gore and John Kerry) and John Sexton (NYU President). Those who complete the program are eligible for an all-expenses paid scholarship for a Master’s/Ph.D. at NYU in New York. 

In October 2014 Mr Steve Kranz visited UAEU alumni now studying for their Masters at NYU.  Youssef El Alaoui a Business Administration Department (BUSA) graduate in Supply Chain at UAEU is currently completing a Masters in Global Talent Management.  Other BUSA graduates such as Duaa Kazweni continues her postgraduate studies in Management and Systems, while Ibrahim Dedache is  entering NYU’s program in Integrated Marketing. 

The College of Business and Economics is the longest accredited AACSB Business School in the Gulf Region. “Steve encouraged me to be part of the Model United Nations in 2012,” explains Youssef El Alaoui. “He further encouraged me to apply for the SMSP program and helped me prepare for the grueling interviews.  I am so grateful to be selected and have this opportunity to live and study in New York University. I will always be thankful to UAEU for the opportunities that my AACSB accredited qualifications have given me and I will always be grateful to the many excellent BUSA Faculty members including Mr Steve who challenged me to do more than I thought possible.”
