Joint Innovation & Brainstorming Workshop

The UAEU College of Business and Economics (CBE) participated in a brainstorming session organized by the Ministry of Finance Innovation Unit in Dubai on February 15^th.Twenty students took part under the supervision of UAEU Department of Economics and Finance Assistant Professor Dr Jocelyn Grira.

Participants addressed at least two of CBE’s strategic initiatives: first, promoting the image and reputation of the CBE, its programs, its faculty, and its students globally, and second, improving effectiveness in teaching and learning.

Students discussed topics related to:

• Strategic financial planning in the UAE government
• Sustainability of public finance
• Efficiency of UAE budget implementation
• Coordination of financial policies at the federal level
• Bilateral financial relationships and agreements
• GCC economic and market integration
• Relationships with international organizations in finance

 

The Minister of Finance was pleased with the quality of the students’ participation and remarked “It was our pleasure to have such an intellectual discussion with your team & MoF management, we wish the same to continue on future engagements with innovative ideas.”
