Dr. Habib Mahama Recognized for Top Journal Publication in 2014

Dr. Habib Mahama;

Dr. Habib Mahama, Associate Professor and Chair of the Accounting Department in the CBE, was honored for his top journal publication in 2014 during the UAEU Faculty Research Recognition Ceremony on Wednesday, 21 April.  Dr. Habib's paper,"The Impact of Interactive and Diagnostic Uses of Budgets on Team Effectiveness," was published in Management Accounting Research, a top 10% journal.

The Recognition Ceremony is held annually to recognize the efforts of UAEU faculty members who are publishing in top journals within their disciplines and to encourage more faculty members to publish in such journals.  The Division of Research and Graduate Studies has compiled a list of the top 1%, 5%, and 10% journals in all disciplines for 2014, using both SCOPUS and Web of Science, that is available on the Research Office Website.  For 2014, those recognized include:  3 corresponding-author and 6 co-author publications in the top 1% journals respectively, 26 corresponding-author publications in the top 5% journals, and 36 corresponding-author publications in the top 10% journals
