Recognizing the CBE’s First DBA Graduates

The UAEU College of Business and Economics (CBE) is proud to recognize the first three graduates from the UAE’s first Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) Program accredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The new DBA graduates are:

• Safa Maatouq Al Mohana
• Ahmed Abdul Fattah Odeh

Launched in 2011, the DBA Program is designed for senior-level executives and research-oriented working professionals. The goal of the program is to expand students’ management knowledge and equip them with broad management and research skills to understand and address complex issues in today’s global, highly competitive marketplace. This allows them to tackle issues of real importance to their organizations and industries and to beneficially implement solutions and high-utility outcomes.

The DBA Program is a four-year, blended, part-time program taught in English in two stages. Stage 1 has two years of coursework. Stage two is two years of work on a DBA dissertation. This must be an original contribution to professional thinking and practice that has high academic merit. The program is completed after successful submission and defense of the DBA dissertation.
