The College of Business and Economics (CBE) is pleased to recognize the following faculty for their research awards and recognitions from external organizations as well as recent publications:

  • Dr. Rihab Khalifa , “The Impact of Regulation on Management Control:  Compliance as a Strategic Response to Institutional Logics of University Accreditation,” published in Qualitative Research in Accounting & Management (2015), Vol. 12, #2, was selected by the Journal’s Editorial Team as the Outstanding Paper in the 2016 Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence.

  • Dr. Riyad Eid , “Measuring the Perceived Value of Malls in a Non-Western Context:  The Case of the UAE,” published in International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management (2015), Vol. 43, #9, was selected by the Journal’s Editorial Team as the Outstanding Paper in the 2016 Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence.

  • Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Maksoud ’s research on “ Do Brains of Managers with Different Leadership Styles Function Differently in Making Rational Managerial and Financial Decisions?: Neuroscience Investigations,” is showcased in EurekAlert Science News at http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2016-04/uaeu-dbo041216.php .
