Ten CBE Faculty Awarded UAEU SURE Research Funding for 2016

Mon, 6 June 2022

Ten faculty in the College of Business and Economics (CBE) have been awarded SURE grants for 2016. The UAEU Research Office received a total of 70 SURE applications this year and based on the scores for each application received from the College, Department/College comments (if any), budget availability, and the completeness of the research team, the applications for funding were selected.

The purpose of the SURE program is to promote and support the engagement of undergraduate students in research experiences.  Engaging students for 4-6 weeks intensively to learn how to conduct research, organize and interpret their results and be able to communicate their findings is the goal of the SURE program.  At the end of the research experience, a final report is submitted to the UAEU Research Office.  Finally, a poster on the project is to be prepared for a Student Research Exhibit/Conference day to be held at the UAEU as well as a 15-minute presentation on the project, if requested.
