CBE Welcomes UC Students

Dean Geralyn McClure Franklin welcomed 17 students and two faculty members from the University of Cincinnati (UC) to the UAEU and the College of Business and Economics (CBE) in mid-December 2015.  Dr. Charles Matthews and Dr. BJ Zinger were the faculty members directing the study abroad program to the UAE that included stops for the UC students in Dubai, Al Ain, and Abu Dhabi.

Prof. Mohamed Albaili, Deputy Vice Chancellor and Provost, provided official welcome remarks to the students in their first session at the UAEU.  Dr. Mohamed Al Waqfi, Associate Professor of Business Administration in the CBE, provided a lecture on Contemporary Issues Business and Culture in the UAE and MENA Region.  The group then toured the state-of-the-art UAEU campus, led by CBE Student Ambassadors including Khaled Ibrahim Mohammad Abu-Tayeh, Salem Saeed Ali Helail Al Meqbali, Amal Khader Khalil, and Sara Salem Saeed Ai Eisaei.  A luncheon was held to honor the guests before they departed for Abu Dhabi.
