A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between the United Arab Emirates University and Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services indicating the active partnership between Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services and the Department of Special Education at the College of Education to organize a 5% conference within the frequency range which was held on April 17 and 18, 2018.

The aim of this conference is to enhance the culture of deaf individuals in the Arab world. In addition, to highlight the most important experiences, initiatives and solutions to the problems faced by deaf people in various aspects of life.
