Android Packet Generator Tool

In the context of a senior graduation project, CIT students Mohammed Al Matrooshi and Saeed Al Bairaq were led by their supervisor Dr. Zouheir Trabelsi to deploy a cyber security test bed, called Packet Generator, on Google Play. The app could be used to test firewall’s filtering rules as well as intrusion detection system’s attack signatures, and router’s Access Control Lists (ACLs.). The tool has a valuable education value to generate traffic and learn further about Denial of Service (DoS) threats.  According to Google Play Store, in less than one year, the app turned popular  with over 5,000  downloads and 3.8 user rating.
