College of Information Technology graduates meet to exchange experiences

On Tuesday 29th November 2016, the College of Information Technology at United Arab Emirates University organized the College Alumni Forum to exchange experiences and practical experiences between the College graduates, at the Information Technology building on campus, attended by Professor Omar El Gayar, Dean of the College of Information Technology, college professors and graduate students.
During the meeting, Dr. Yousef Al Hammadi, the Assistant Dean, said: It is necessary for every student of the College of Information Technology to continue to learn, because to stop means the student returns to zero, since it is a fact that the world of information technology is variable, and needs constant and continuous learning." He stressed the need to hold such meetings to share experiences and broaden students and graduates horizons through the exchange of experiences and challenges and the management of the same. This is in addition to reviewing the latest technological subjects available, and new applications.
Dr. Farag Sallabi, Associate Professor at the College, presented the new developments in technology and industry, as well as the latest technology topics that are currently being working on, and the academic study s relationship and role in the IT industry. Student Muhra Al Dhaheri, a college graduate of the year 2000, presented her experience as the President of the Sorority in the College, along with the difficulties she encountered and the role played by her experience in formulating her career.
Dr. Maryam Yammahi, Assistant Professor, moderated a meeting for a group of alumnae where they presented their practical experience after graduation. She stressed the need for college graduates to continue learning and networking, and spoke about the role of the alumnae in the formulation of educational programs to prepare graduates who are leaders and pioneers in their fields. Yammahi also reviewed the services provided by UAEU to the graduates after graduation, and the Teaching Assistants and graduate programs at the University.
