Fadwa Al MugaddamFadwa Al Mugaddam is a dedicated medical research specialist with a passion for advancing the field of psychiatry and behavioural sciences. She began her journey by graduating from the College of Science, Biology Department in 2005 and quickly delved into the world of voluntary research at the COS. Her thirst for knowledge and hands-on experience led her to join the College of Medical and Health Sciences in March 2006, where she honed her research and laboratory techniques.

Fadwa's hard work and dedication eventually paid off, and she began working on grants as a researcher in various basic sciences departments and laboratories. Her collaborations with pioneering scientists and doctors only served to enhance her skills and motivation in the medical science field. Today, Fadwa is a medical research specialist in the Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences Department at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at the United Arab Emirates University.

Since joining the Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences Department in April 2010, Fadwa has become an expert in mental health clinical researcher, participating in numerous clinical research studies and scientific publications. Always seeking to expand her knowledge, Fadwa pursued a master’s degree in the Institute of Public Health at the College of Medical and Health Sciences, completing her studies in June 2016. Currently, she is doing her PhD in the Public Health Institute at CMHS.

Fadwa's dedication to her work has earned her recognition in the global academic community. She recently had her poster abstract accepted for her PhD project, "First Step for The Cross-Validation of the Arabic Emirate Version of 'The Subjective Scale to Investigate Cognition - Emirates' (SSTIC-E)," at the 17th World Congress on Public Health (WCPH) in Rome, Italy. Furthermore, she presented the same topic as an oral presentation at the World Psychiatric Association (WPA) Thematic Congress "Innovations in the Treatment & Psychosocial Rehabilitation" in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Fadwa's tireless dedication to medical research has helped push the boundaries of psychiatry and behavioural sciences, making her a valuable asset to the field.
