Ms. Khawla M. Alyammahi
Ms. Khawla M. Alyammahi, a proud UAEU Alumni is an experienced researcher and a certified
Molecular Bio-Technologist, currently working at Fujairah Research Centre as a Research
Specialist. She is one of the key players in leading sustainable research projects
across the UAE.
Ms. Khawla is holding a position as an outreach coordinator and technology transfer to build effective connections between different stakeholders including the universities and public sectors.
Ms. Khawla previously interned at NAMA Woman Advancement or 5 months where she conducted the “Design Labs” training that consists of many creative handcraft courses including biomaterials furniture and glass blowing procedure, she also interned at Enoc for 4 months under the H/.H. Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi initiative for work readiness program – information technology stream.
Ms. Khawla also previously worked as a research assistant in the UAEU for 1 year performing an epidemiological study at the college of medicine and health sciences to estimate the prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus among women of childbearing age in the MENA region by systematic review and meta-analysis
UAEU has been a critical life station in Ms. Khawla’s journey, where she participated in several outreach activities and published two significant papers in the medical & bioinformatics field at the time of her undergraduate study.
UAEU helped her to develop some key life and technical skills such as time management, independence, self-motivation creativity, etc.
