Dr. Lina MohjaziDr. Lina Mohjazi is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) at the James Watt School of Engineering, University of Glasgow (UofG), UK. She earned her bachelor’s degree with Honors from the United Arab Emirates University in 2008. With a prolific academic career, Dr. Mohjazi has co-authored over 70 research papers published in prestigious international journals and conferences, as well as several book chapters. Her research focuses on green and sustainable wireless communications, IoT, machine learning, Big Data analytics, energy efficiency, fundamental performance limits, and beyond 5G technologies.

Currently, Dr. Mohjazi manages a multi-million-pound research grant portfolio dedicated to advancing future wireless communication technologies. She serves as the Deputy Director of the Robotics AI for NetZero (RAINZ) Centre for Doctoral Training at UofG and leads the Women in Engineering Engagement for the IEEE Communication Society UK&I. Dr. Mohjazi is also a Fellow of the Women’s Engineering Society (WES) and a Senior Member of IEEE.

Her academic journey includes an M.Sc. degree from Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi (2012), awarded with a full scholarship, and a Ph.D. from the 5G/6G Innovation Centre, University of Surrey (2018). Dr. Mohjazi's career has spanned roles as a Lecturer at Khalifa University, a Research Associate at the KU Center for Cyber-Physical Systems, and a Visiting Research Associate with the Communications, Sensing and Imaging group at UofG.

Dr. Mohjazi has made significant contributions as an Associate Editor for IEEE Communications Letters, where she received the Exemplary Editor Award. She has also been actively involved in the organization of IEEE conferences and workshops, serving as a member of the Technical Program Committee and as a Track/Workshop Chair.

Her outstanding achievements have earned her endorsements as a UK Exceptional Global Talent by the Royal Academy of Engineering and as a “High Level Foreign Talent” by the Chinese Government. She has received several accolades, including multiple teaching awards, the IEEE GPECOM 2022 Best Paper Presentation award, and the IEEE Women in Engineering UK&I Engineering Excellence award. Additionally, Dr. Mohjazi is an Affiliate Member of the Mohammed bin Rashid Academy of Scientists, UAE.
