Sumaya Al Jahoori

Dr. Sumaya Al jahoori is a Professor of Law at the United Arab Emirates University. She holds a bachelor’s degree with honors from the United Arab Emirates University. Due to her exceptional skills, the United Arab Emirates University appointed her as a teaching assistant. She continued her education and earned a master's degree from Penn State University, USA. Dr. Sumaya Al Jahoori obtained her Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University, USA. She is currently teaching Constitutional and Administrative Law. Her experience is solely focused on academic and community services. She has actively participated in multiple committees that are dedicated to community service. She has taught many undergraduate and graduate courses in several areas of law. In addition, she oversaw the students and collaborated with them to cultivate their creativity and improve their university experience. In addition, she has organized many law conferences and supervised students in moot court and research competitions. She developed the curriculum by converting the courses into blended learning courses.

She was awarded the Excellency in Teaching Award in 2023. Dr. Sumaya participated in many events and led several committees.  She participated in the innovation in legislation event by the Ministry of Justice, determined to develop pioneering laws. In addition, As the chair of the Innovation Committee at the College of Law of the United Arab Emirates University, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership abilities.
