CETL s Textbooks unit actively tries to support UAEU s mission of becoming The University of the Future by supporting a campus-wide transition from traditional (printed) textbooks to the usage of digital textbooks. To facilitate this transition, e-textbook aggregators were tested and evaluated by volunteering faculty during 2017. After reviewing the feedbacks from this trial, two e-textbooks aggregators were shortlisted by CETL; namely Kortext and Vital Source . During 2017, approximately 40% of courses throughout UAEU made the transition from traditional printed textbooks to digital textbooks. Currently, 67% of textbooks used at UAEU have been transformed to e-textbooks.
