Students
Dear Students,
We would like to congratulate you on the beginning of the second semester of the academic year 2020/2021, wishing you continued success.
We offer you a set of instructions that we hope everyone adheres to, for your safety and the safety of everyone.
- It is necessary to present the results of the new Corona virus examination (PCR), up to 72 hours, before allowing students to board the bus and show the result through the Al-Hosn Application or through the oficial text message issued by the competent authories.
- If there are members of your family infected with Covid 19 virus, the student must stay inthe residential units and not leave the emirate.
- If your contact witha person infected with Covid 19 virus in the emirate, the student must not retun to the residence, and inform the health services unit on the following email: healht.services@uaeu.ac.ae
- Students coming from outside the emirate of Abu Dhabi must abide by the state's procedures for re-examination (nose swab, PCR) on the sixth day, as the student will bear the costs of the medical examination.
- Students must visit the residence clinic in B3 to perform the required tests, for AED 85/- (cash or visa)

Tips for online classes
This is a normal class using a virtual platform. Here are some tips for success:
- Be ready. Check the calendar and the link ahead of time
- Check your connections, microphone, and camera
- Keep yourself muted unless you are speaking
- Make sure to read any materials assignment before the session
- Make sure to check lectures recordings
- Check the course examination time and platform.
- Seek IT assistance if you have any issues with your connections.
On site Classes
Students entering the University Campus are expected to present a COVID-19 negative PCR results as follows:
- Not more than a month old for students living in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi
- Not more than 48hrs for students coming from other Emirates and a repeat result after 6 days in Al Ain or Abu Dhabi
- The results and your temperature will be checked at every entry
- No entry is allowed without a face mask
- Students are always expected to follow safety and social distance protocols. Keep updated.
Library
- The main library opening hours are Sun Thurs 8.00am to 9.00pm
- Please kindly follow the seating arrangements instructions and other protocols
- Keep checking the UAEU website and email for any updates on regulations and library timings
University Housing
- For students of the northern regions and their subordinate region (Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras al-Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah):
To enter the university residence, the result of the nasal swab test (PCR) is required. The result should be negative and not exceed 48hours.
Compulsory: A re-testing (PCR) for all students on the sixth day in case of staying in the residence.
- Students from the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its affiliates areas:
Compulsory: Entry to the university residence requires the result of the nasal swab test (PCR). The result should be negative and not exceed 48hours.
- Students are required to sign in and sign out when entering and leaving the hostels.
How to protect yourself
- Wash your hands regularly use soap or approved hand sanitizer.
- Stay at home and in the hostel if no need to go out.
- When you go out, keep your mask on.
- Change your masks regularly.
- If you are sick, stay
- Stay away from infected cases even if they are family
What to do if you get sick?
- Call Ministry of Health & Prevention on 800-11111, Department of Health Abu Dhabi on 800-1717 or Dubai Health Authority on 800-342 for COVID-19 related health
- Stay isolated until you get tested unless you are advised to
- Keep hydrated
- Eat healthy
- Get medical treatment if symptoms worsen
Dining halls/Restaurants
All students must follow the following precautionary measures:
- Wearing masks during the period of stay in the dining hall. It is allowed to take off mask only while eating
- Commitment to the distance between students which is indicated by stickers provided in the dining halls
- Commitment to being present only for the minimum possible time, to allow the rest of the students to eat their meals
- Obligation to wait in the designated places in case the dining hall is full
- Students commitment to all restaurant regulations and obligations previously specified in the dining hall
