The Graduate Student Development Program in association with the SSU Writing Center offers a workshop on writing a Critical Review or Summary.

Target Audience
This workshop is primarily for students in Master’s or Doctorate programs who want to improve their critical review and summary skills in order to write high-quality review papers.

Workshop Description
This workshop is designed to help students gain a greater awareness of how to write a critical review or summary of a research article or book chapter. The session will examine the following: the reading strategies necessary for a critical review; the purpose and features of a review, with a focus on the content and organization; how to write the review, with a focus on language and coherence; and finally, common problems associated with critical reviews and summaries.

Participants need to register by 2:30 pm on 18th January. to receive the Zoom link for the meeting:

- Select the Writing Centre schedule
