UAEU Highlights Its Academic Legacy at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2026

United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) participated in the 35th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2026 with a cultural and knowledge programme that brought together future foresight and the University’s academic legacy. The programme took place from 13 to 18 September 2026 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

In the presence of H.E. Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to His Highness the President of the UAE and Chancellor of United Arab Emirates University, and H.E. Prof. Ahmed Ali Al Raeesi, Vice Chancellor of UAEU, the University’s pavilion hosted a panel discussion titled “The Future and the Past from the Perspective of His Highness the President of the UAE,” featuring H.E. Dr. Sultan Mohammed Al-Nuaimi, Director General of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research. The session highlighted the strategic approach of His Highness the President of the UAE in bringing together authenticity and modernity, connecting historical roots with future foresight, and supporting the development of a promising future for the UAE.

The discussion also addressed the importance of preserving values and national identity, and drawing inspiration from the Founding Fathers’ legacy of social cohesion, determination, dedication, and sacrifice. These values serve as a foundation for guiding future generations in continuing the UAE’s development journey and preserving its national achievements for generations to come.

The University’s pavilion presented visitors with a curated selection of manuscripts and scientific collections reflecting the richness of UAEU’s academic and intellectual legacy. The collection covers fields including medicine, astronomy, mathematics, engineering, and other disciplines. It also features manuscripts, some of which date back several centuries, as well as commemorative postage stamps issued to mark the University’s 10th anniversary and Silver Jubilee, documenting significant milestones in its history.

Building on this legacy, the pavilion also showcases selected publications by UAEU faculty members and researchers across a range of scientific and humanities disciplines.
