UAEU Launches Commemorative Stamps Marking 50 Years of Academic Excellence in Collaboration with Emirates Post

The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) has launched commemorative stamps celebrating its Golden Jubilee and documenting prominent milestones that have shaped its journey since its establishment in 1976. The stamps highlight the University’s achievements and contributions over five decades in education, research, innovation, community service, and national development.

The announcement was made during an event held at the UAEU Library in the presence of H.E. Prof. Ahmed Ali Alraeesi, Vice Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University, and Abdulaziz Al Hammadi, General Manager of NationalxNetwork (NXN), alongside university leaders and students. The event featured the official launch of the commemorative stamps and the signing of the commemorative stamp frame.

In his opening remarks, H.E. Prof. Ahmed Ali Alraeesi, Vice Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University, stated that the launch of the stamps documents a national journey that began with the University's establishment and is closely connected to the UAE's vision of nurturing generations and investing in people, education, and knowledge. He noted that, over five decades, the University has contributed to shaping generations of Emirati youth, developing talent, generating knowledge, and supporting the UAE's national development journey.

His Excellency added, “These stamps preserve memories from the history of UAEU while reminding us that the University's story is still being written.” He affirmed that the Golden Jubilee marks the beginning of a new chapter in the University's journey, as UAEU seeks to expand its knowledge and scientific impact, strengthen its global presence, and continue contributing to national priorities and shaping the future of the UAE.

Abdulaziz Al Hammadi, General Manager of NationalxNetwork (NXN), said in his opening remarks that Emirates Post will continue to play its role in documenting prominent national milestones through postage stamps, which go beyond their traditional function to serve as enduring records that preserve the nation's stories and achievements and share them with future generations and audiences around the world.

He added that NationalxNetwork (NXN) contributes to expanding public access to Emirates Post services and its postage stamp issues, enabling customers to benefit from them through an integrated network of branches across the country.

The commemorative stamps capture moments from UAEU's history over the past 50 years, creating a visual record of the University's legacy and national mission while connecting its journey since its establishment with its aspirations for the next phase.
