United Arab Emirates University Organizes the 1st Sports Science & Physical Activity Fair

The College of Education at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), represented by the Department of Physical Education, is organizing the first edition of the Sports Science & Physical Activity Fair on September 8 and 9, 2026, at the University’s Sports Complex, under the theme “Sport and Science… Towards a Healthier UAE Society.”

The fair brings together researchers, academics, practitioners, students, and representatives of organizations working in the sports sector to exchange knowledge and expertise, strengthen the connection between scientific research and sports practice, and highlight the Physical Education major and the academic and professional opportunities it offers.

The program features four panel discussions, four workshops, and practical activities, in addition to two sessions presenting 13 research papers. The fair brings together 35 specialists, nine sports coaches, and representatives of nine organizations from the sports, academic, government, and community sectors. More than 60 volunteers are also contributing to the organization of the fair.

The sessions and workshops address a range of topics, including education in sports sciences and physical education, physical activity and health, women in sports, physical literacy in childhood, talent identification, technology and innovation, health and well-being, and sports empowerment for People of Determination.

The fair also features a range of interactive sports activities and experiences, including padel, table tennis, badminton, weightlifting, and jiu-jitsu, as well as virtual reality simulations of football and tennis.
