UAEU Honors Outstanding Students at Recognition Ceremony

On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, the United Arab Emirates University held an honoring ceremony at the Crescent Building to celebrate the achievements of its top-performing honors students. The event was held in the presence of H.E. Prof. Ahmed Ali Al Raeesi, Acting Vice Chancellor of UAEU, Dr. Suad Mohammed AlMarzooqi, Associate Provost for Student Affairs, along with faculty and administrative members.

In his opening remarks, H.E. Prof. Ahmed Ali Al Raeesi emphasized that this recognition aligns with UAEU’s strategic commitment to fostering academic excellence and cultivating a spirit of diligence and innovation. He stated, “Honoring this exceptional group of students is a clear reflection of the university’s appreciation for perseverance and resilience. It embodies our mission to prepare a generation of academically distinguished graduates who are capable of contributing to the nation’s progress and development. “He added that such excellence is the result of an integrated educational system built on solid scientific principles, dedicated faculty, and the strong commitment of the students, whose achievements the university is immensely proud of.

Dr. Suad Mohammed AlMarzooqi also expressed her pride in the honored students, commending their determination and unwavering pursuit of excellence. “These students not only celebrate personal achievement but also serve as role models for their peers. They truly deserve this recognition,” she noted. Dr. Suad AlMarzooqi also reiterated the university's dedication to providing a supportive educational environment that nurtures creativity, innovation, and future potential.

The ceremony recognized 170 honors students who had achieved outstanding GPAs and successfully completed the required credit hours. Among those honored were 61 bachelor’s students who completed more than 50 credit hours, 56 master’s students who completed over 15 credit hours, and 53 Ph.D. students who completed more than 20 credit hours.

The honored students expressed their deep gratitude to UAEU for its continuous academic and personal support. They acknowledged the vital role played by faculty members in guiding them throughout their academic journey. Many shared that this recognition serves as a powerful motivation to continue striving toward their scientific and professional aspirations.
