On Thursday, September 04, His Excellency Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), visited the pavilion of the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 2025, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). During his visit, His Excellency reviewed the outstanding research innovations and pioneering projects presented by the College.

The College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine participates annually in ADIHEX as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the UAE’s strategic objectives in food and vital security. The College also plays an important role in promoting sustainable agriculture and preserving the nation's urban and environmental heritage. Prof. Mohammed Abdul Muhsen Al Yafei, Dean of the College, emphasized that this participation reflects the College’s dedication to social engagement and enhancing awareness of UAEU’s efforts in scientific research and innovation, particularly in the use of artificial intelligence in agriculture and veterinary sciences.

This year’s pavilion featured a wide array of research samples and success stories in veterinary medicine, livestock production, and aquaculture development. It also showcased innovative solutions in water resource management and animal health. Several projects leveraged AI to enhance agricultural data analysis, predict animal and plant diseases, improve production quality, and manage resources efficiently.

The pavilion was organized by the College’s three academic departments: the Department of Integrative Agriculture, the Department of Food Science, and the Department of Veterinary Medicine. Each department presented an overview of its undergraduate and graduate programs, which are designed around a multidisciplinary curriculum that combines food production, medicine development, agricultural business management, natural resource stewardship, and environmental protection.

The pavilion attracted wide interest from students, livestock owners, environmental advocates, and individuals passionate about modern agricultural technologies. It served as a dynamic platform for inspiring youth to explore future academic and career paths in the fields of agriculture and veterinary medicine.

Through its participation in ADIHEX 2025, the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the UAE’s vision of a knowledge-based economy, where education, research, and innovation are key drivers of sustainable development and national progress.
