United Arab Emirates University Honors Recipients of the Chancellor’s Award for Institutional Excellence - 5th Cycle

Under the patronage and presence of H.E. Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to the UAE President and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University, the ceremony recognizing the winners of the 5th Cycle of the Chancellor’s Award for Institutional Excellence was held. The event celebrated individuals who have made outstanding contributions to promoting a culture of institutional excellence and enhancing performance quality across the university’s departments.

In his speech, H.E. Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh emphasized that institutional excellence is the cornerstone of UAEU’s journey. He noted that the award reflects the vision of the nation’s wise leadership, which believes that investing in people and building robust institutions is the foundation for achieving sustainable development and leadership. His Excellency highlighted that excellence is not achieved through planning alone, but through teamwork, commitment, initiative, and the ability to transform challenges into opportunities for real accomplishment.

His Excellency further added that UAEU remains committed to fostering an institutional environment that encourages creativity and innovation, operates with transparency and governance, and actively seeks to enhance performance and services in line with the country’s aspirations and future vision.

The ceremony also honored the assessment team from Dubai Police for their professional contributions in supporting the assessment process with the highest standards of impartiality and objectivity, which contributed to the award’s success and credibility.

A total of 21 administrators and academics were recognized as recipients of the Chancellor’s Award for Institutional Excellence in its 5th Cycle. Additionally, the Associate Provost for Research Office received the Distinguished Department Award, acknowledging their exemplary institutional performance and achievements that reflect commitment, quality, and innovation in their work.

Through this award, the University reaffirms its dedication to promoting a culture of excellence, encouraging healthy competition, and motivating distinguished initiatives that strengthen its position as a leading institution in higher education, research, and community service.
