Memorandum of Understanding signed by College of Food and Agriculture and Farmers Service Center signed a two year memorandum of understanding

The Collge of Food and Agriculture (CFA) and Farmer’s Service Center (FSC) signed a two year memorandum of understanding. This MoU is intended to facilitate the collaboration of both organizations in agricultural research, demonstration, extension and training. More specifically, this MoU enables CFA and FSC:

1. To engage in developmental work with the existing agriculture systems in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi, with special reference to crops, cropping patterns, livestock production, irrigation systems, economics and marketing.
2. To identify and recommend strategies for short-term improvement of current agricultural systems and long-term planning for sustainable agricultural production.
3. To provide assistance in monitoring and quality assurances on the technical aspects of the FSC, including laboratory services.
4. To provide a platform for CFA students and Faculty staff to engage in field research, up-scaling and application of research, establish long term scientific and socio economic data collection channels, and offer students practical internships upon graduation.
