Two Female Students from the Department of Food Science Won First Prize in Dubai International Food Safety Conference

During the 5^th International Food Science Conference, two female students Maryam Rashed and Naila Saif Saeed from the Department of Food Science, College of Food and Agriculture won the first prize in the poster session. Ten students (4 males and 6 females) from Department of Food Science attended three days of the Fifth Dubai International Food Safety Conference that was held in Dubai from February 22-24, 2010 under supervision of Dr. Hanan Afifi. Also nine female students from Department of Nutrition and Health under supervision of Dr. Sidiga Washi attended the first day. Dr. Aisha Abushelaibi, Vice Dean of CFA, chaired the Student Presentation session during the conference and three female students from Department of Food Science, Salama Al Dhaheri, Maryam Mohamed Rashed and Saada Masoud Jasim participated with different presentations.
