"Organic Field Day" Held at CFA Al Foah Farm

The Organic Field Day was held on Monday, March 21, 2011 at CFA Al Foah farm. The activity was organized as part of a project funded by Emirates Foundation. The main purpose of the field day was to demonstrate technology transfer, educational and outreach learning for stakeholders and to provide an opportunity to view and discuss the benefits and practical implications of strategies for organic farming system.   This demonstration farm was established according to the UAE standards and guidelines provided by the Ministry of Environment and Water. The attendees of the field day included farmers, students, researchers, media, government officials and others working with the organic agriculture. The researchers involved in this project were also available to answer questions and provide important information to the audience.
