CFA Students Trip to Osnabrük University of Applied Sciences

Nine students from the Department of Food Science (College of Food & Agriculture) participated in a student exchange and visited Osnabrük University of Applied  Sciences and the German Institute of Food Technologies (DIL) in Osnabrük, Germany. The students attended the Summer Laboratory on Special Food Technologies organized by the two German institutions from 11 to 21 of July 2011 as a follow up of a previous visit by German students to UAEU in February 2011.

The UAEU students and students from Osnabrük University jointly participated in the special course and attended lectures and practical sessions about different branches of food processing (Dairy, Meat, and Cereal) and visited some German Food industries. The students also visited German cities and towns around Osnabrük such as Münster and Cologne, learned about German history and culture and came with great experience to the UAE. During the visit, the students became assured of the quality of their education and they were confident when they made presentations about their academic and cultural activities during the visit. These types of exchanges give our students exposure and bridge their contacts and relations with students in other international universities.
