A Senior Economist with the World Bank gives a Seminar at CFA

Dr. Dorte Verner, a senior economist with the World Bank, visited the College of Food and Agriculture (CFA) on January 19, 2011. Dr. Verner gave a talk about the World Bank's role in adaptation of the countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to global climate change. Dr. Verner is the head of MENA region within the Department of Sustainable Development of the World Bank. CFA and World Bank's Department of Sustainable Development shared the views regarding exchanging information and collaboration in disseminating scientific findings to interested stakeholders regarding the impacts of climate change on sustainable development. Both parties agreed on continuing contacts and further developing the initiatives of partnership and collaboration.
