Prof. Sidiga Washi has Attended the International Federation of Home Economics (IFHE) World Congress 2012

Prof. Sidiga Washi has attended the International Federation of Home Economics (IFHE) World Congress 2012 held in Melbourne - Australia between 16-21 July, 2012 under the theme "Global Wellbeing".

The Congress was organized by the Australian Home Economics Association and was attended by 950 participants from all over the world. Prof Washi presented research findings of a study carried under her supervision by a UAEU student for her Senior Project titled “Measuring students’ satisfaction about the foodservice offered at the United Arab Emirates University Hostels” which was also published on the Congress website and will be published in the IFHE Journal. Prof. Washi was also invited to participate in a Round Table Discussion on "Home Economics and UN Millennium Development Goals: A Global Perspective". The Congress was a good opportunity for professional networking.
