A Group of Swedish Professors Visited Food Science Department

Four professors from the Department of Food Science at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) visited the Food Science Department on Sunday 17^th November 2013. The four professors gave seminars to CFA faculty and students on the Health effects of whole grain foods (by Dr. Rikard Landberg), Food structure and properties (by Dr. Maud Langton), Dairy Science at SLU (by Dr. Åse Lundh), and Bioprocessing to increase the folate content in foods and functional ingredients (by Dr.  Cornelia Witthöft). On Monday, the group attended together with faculty members from the Food science Department attended a workshop to Promote Academic and Research Collaboration between the UAE and Sweden. The workshop was organized by the National Research Foundation of UAE (NRF) and the Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT). The scientists from UAEU and SLU discussed possible collaborations in teaching, research, and student exchange.
