CFA in Collaboration with the IFAD of the United Nations and Ministry of Finance Conducted a Workshop

College of Food and Agriculture in collaboration with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) of the United Nations and Ministry of Finance conducted a Workshop on the nature of the work of IFAD and its human resources management on 1^st of October 2013 at the Crescent Building Auditorium of UAEU. They discussed the future projects and fund placement which focus on developing countries in the world. The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members, researchers and students from the College of Food and various other colleges of UAEU. In addition to the members of the delegation from IFAD, some members of Ministry of Finance, UAE also attended the workshop.

Speaking at the workshop by Mohammed Beavogui senior adviser to IFAD, and Michael Gehringer, human resources manager explained about the establishment of the Fund and mode of activities already undertaken and currently ongoing. The IFAD was established in 1977 as one of the main outcomes of the World Food Conference 1974 a specialized agency of the United Nations and is based at Rome, Italy.
