Mr. Jobe Attended the Institute of Food Technologists Annual Meeting and Food Expo in Chicago

Baboucarr Jobe from the Food Science Department attended the 13 Annual meeting and Food Expo for the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) in Chicago from 13 - 16 July 2013. This year, the event was held in Chicago, Illinois USA. IFT is a source for the latest information about the science of food, as well as continuing education programs that help members to advance their career, and participate in events that will keep them well informed about the ever-changing food industry landscape. It also provides opportunities and access to information and technologies that one can immediately apply to enhance research and teaching in food sciences. Mr. Jobe presented a poster on a research work conducted in the Food Science Department, Collage of Food and Agriculture under the title of “Evaluation of chemical and sensory quality attributes of roasted date seeds extract (Phoenix dactylifra L.)”. The research was conducted by Baboucarr Jobe, Raisa Al Mansouri, and Afaf Kamal-Eldin. The poster was visited by many people during the poster session that was conducted on 15th of July from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.
