An Agribusiness Student Participated in the Sustainable Development Conference 2013 in Bangkok

The Department of Agribusiness and Consumer Science sent Ms. Shamsa Al Ahbabi to present her research entitled, Consumer Awareness of Carbon Footprint in United Arab Emirates, to Bangkok, Thailand in June of 2013. Ms. Shamsa, accompanied by Instructor Emily Shea Dunn, was joined with associates from around the globe in the Sustainable Development Conference 2013. Based on Ms. Shamsa’s research she found that the majority of respondents were not aware of carbon footprint, although some do associate household consumption and behaviors with unfavorable environmental impacts.
