Veterinary Medicine Department Celebrates the World Veterinary Day

“The Department of Veterinary Medicine at the college of Food and Agriculture at the United Arab Emirates University represented by the department chair Dr. Sameeh Abu Tarbush, faculty members and a number of veterinary medicine students participated in the event organized by the Ministry of Environment and Water represented by the Agricultural Affairs sector with the participation of a number of governmental and non-governmental organizations in the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Dubai to celebrate the World Veterinary Day on Sunday 27^th of April 2015.
Dr. Sameeh delivered a lecture about the importance of the veterinary profession in promoting food security by protection of livestock from epidemic and zoonotic diseases. He spoke also about the role of the veterinarian in the society and provided the audience with concise brief about the Department of Veterinary Medicine at the college of Food and Agriculture. During this event, the outstanding students in the Department of Veterinary Medicine were honored.”
