Fall 2010: A record number of students join FIT.

Sep. 14, 2010. The UAE university application service revealed that as of early September, the number of FIT undergraduate applications had jumped to more than 250 students -- the highest rate since the Faculty of IT inception in 2001.

There has been a steady increase of students selected to join FIT Programs, but this year shows a sizeable leap in applicants, who successfully enrolled the dynamic Information Technology specialization as the commencement of an exciting career. Made up of essentially UAE nationals, the new batch of students promise to drive the nation’s IT infrastructure and unleash the power of related technologies to accelerate growth in the country. More than 160 female and over 90 male students from all emirates of the country  have been selected to join FIT programs. They will discover a state-of-the-art facility as the UAE University unveils its brand new campus. Labeled as the “jewel” of the new UAE University campus, FIT Building is house to modern smart-classrooms and up-to-date laboratories, as well as skilled academic personnel.
