FIT Ph.D. student gets Best Paper Award
April 7, 2011- Asma Falasi, a FIT Ph.D. student has received the best paper award at the Second Kuwait e-Services and e-Systems Conference which was held on 5-7th April 2011 in Kuwait City.The Second Kuwait e-Services and e-Systems Conference aims to bring together researchers and practitioners to present the latest advances in the enabling technologies and infrastructures, techniques and methodologies, and applications in e-services and e-systems. The theme of the conference emphasizes the importance of high availability (anytime), location-transparent (anywhere) and interactive multimedia services (any form). The conference was held on 5-7th April 2011, and was technically sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) SIGMIS. Asma Falasi, has made the best research contribution according to the Conference organizers as she was awarded the Best Paper prize for her publication entitled "A Collaborative Reputation-based Vetting Model for Online Certification of Businesses" and co-authored jointly with her supervisor Mohamed Adel Serhani and FIT Faculty Ezedin Barka.
