Game-based Learning
22 January 2013
Our research addresses the development of an educational game intended for K-3 children.
By playing the game, the child acquires linguistic skills in Arabic language without
any external help. The game allows a player, through exploration of authentic spaces,
to learn the alphabet, vocabulary, and sentences, in a meaningful and relevant context.
Being immersed in a fantastic yet authentic space, the player has a lot of fun, while
learning letters, sounds, words, and phrases. This research was conducted by CIT senior
students Nafla Al Darei, Shamsa Salem, Shaykha Al Mandhary, Mouza Al Mehairy. Their
advisor is Professor B. Belkhouche.
