Research Funding Overview
The Zayed Bin Sultan Center for Health Sciences has secured more than AED 66.4 million
in competitive research funding between 2017 and 2026, supporting 131 funded research
projects across a broad spectrum of research areas. This sustained funding success
has enabled the supervision and training of over 69 postgraduate students, 45 undergraduate
students, and 45 research assistants, significantly strengthening research capacity
and talent development at the national level.

Research funding at ZCHS reflects sustained growth, competitive strength, and strategic
institutional advancement. The steady expansion of funded projects demonstrates the
Center’s continued success in securing internal and external support while advancing
high-impact, multidisciplinary research. The Center maintains an expanding network
of national and international partnerships, including collaborations with Zayed University
and NYU Abu Dhabi, as well as leading global institutions such as Asian Universities
Alliance ( AUA), ETH Zurich, the University of Glasgow, the University of California,
King Saud University, and Nazarbayev University, among others. These high-impact collaborations
enhance research excellence, promote knowledge exchange, and further position ZCHS
as a leading regional hub for interdisciplinary health research and innovation.
