BIOGRAPHY
Mariam AlNuaimi is an instructor in UAEU Department of Social Wellbeing. Mariam's served for two years as an school social worker in a private school in Alain. Her primary responsibilities included helping students to address problems or issues that may get in the way of learning and competence, such as truancy, rebelliousness, social withdrawal, substance abuse, and bullying. Individuals who choose this career path play a critical role in educational settings, because they work with students to help them improve their emotional well-being and academic performance.
In UAEU and hold MSW from UAEU my responsibilities typically include:
1. Teaching and curriculum development by designing and delivering engaging course content that covers key theories, practices, and issues in social work. This may involve creating syllabi, lectures, and assessments.
2. Student Support and Mentorship in Practicum : Providing guidance and support to students in their academic and professional development. This includes advising on career paths, supervising field placements, and offering feedback on assignments.
3. Research and Scholarship: Engaging in research activities related to social work, contributing to academic publications, and staying updated on the latest developments in the field.
